Amarillo Pathology Group LLP is seeking a full time, Cytologist for our diverse, hospital based, private practice. Certified or certificate eligible for CT (ASCP) is required.
Amarillo Pathology Group provides leading edge anatomic and clinical pathology services throughout the Texas Panhandle medical communities. The physicians of Amarillo Pathology Group have been serving the hospitals and patients of Amarillo and our surrounding region since 1983. Our mission is to provide our customers with accurate, timely diagnostic support and unparalleled customer service.
Eligible candidates should be able to provide microscopic examination, evaluation and cytodiagnostic interpretation of Gyn and Non-gyn specimens. The cytotechnologist performs accurate gross description and preparation of Non-gyn specimens according to established guidelines. He/she interacts directly with the pathologist regarding cytodiagnostic interpretation. He/she must maintain daily workload records, prepare cytology reports and assure cytology compliance with College of American Pathologist (CAP), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act, (CLIA), as amended and other requirements. The right candidate is a hardworking, adaptable, detail-oriented team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Amarillo Pathology Group currently includes a team of 7 pathologists and 3 full-time Cytotechnologists who rotate weekly between two hospitals (BSA Health System and Northwest Texas Healthcare System) which are within walking distance of one another.
