**Description:**
**Providence is calling a Rehabilitation Therapy Aide (0.0 FTE, Days) to Providence St. Vincent Medical Office Building (MOB) East Pavillion in Portland, OR.**
**This position is Per-Diem and will need to be able to float between various clinics as needed on the West Side of Portland.**
We are seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Aide who will assist therapists and therapist assistants with therapy treatments. Perform general department maintenance and maintains inventory of department equipment, linen and supplies. Work with multi-disciplinary team. Must be willing to work in a variety of settings. May perform office/clerical duties and assist others in the rehabilitation services department as needed.
**In this position you will have the following responsibilities:**
+ Assist therapists and therapist assistants with therapy treatments:
+ Monitor patient reaction to therapy and reports significant changes or developments to therapist
+ Transport / escort patients to treatment/hospital rooms as needed
+ Assist in transferring patients between different surfaces as needed
+ Assist in general department maintenance by performing light housekeeping tasks on a frequent basis:
+ Change linen in patient treatment areas per department procedure.
+ Perform scheduled cleaning and maintenance of department equipment and supplies per department procedures
+ Order, stock, and perform inventory of therapy supplies and maintains inventory of equipment and linen
**Qualifications:**
**Required qualifications for this position includes:**
+ High School Diploma **-OR-** GED
+ Completion of PH&S Rehabilitation Services Department Therapy Aide training program within three (3) months of employment
+ American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) within three (3) months of hire
**Preferred qualifications for this position includes:**
+ Some college coursework
+ Training in Windows based software programs or equivalent education/experience
+ Experience as a Therapy Aide
